CGC graders notes question?

10 posts in this topic

And how bad is that will it get worse over time? Or is this a more common thing?

Nothing is going to get worse. The book doesn't have pneumonia. It has dents in it from being read and handled roughly.

It is very common for old books.

Since the book is in a slab now, the damage will not get worse. As long as you don't shake the comic it will be fine.

I really think you need to ask CGC this question. The cryptic nature of the notes sometimes makes them difficult to translate. I know of a situation where the wording of the notes, upon inquiry, were changed. In this situation the seller was having trouble selling a high profile book because the notes made the flaw sound a lot worse than it was. Terms like 'whole book' may not really mean the whole book.
