Need help from some experts on an old book

Maybe someone can help me.

 

My dad has been looking for a comic book from his youth for a few years.

I figured with his birthday coming up I would try to find it for him.

 

It came out during the 50's when he was a kid.

 

The story was about a guy who made himself grow bigger to try to save the world.

He kept growng bigger and bigger until he was larger than the earth then it wound up he was actually in a kids flower pot and his parents used tweezers to pick him up and he grew to normal size.

 

He thinks the cover had the guy growing larger and larger standing on the earth.

 

He does not remeber the title of the book or publisher.

 

ANyone who has any clue I would appreciate it.

Appreciate that. I just emailed my dad and he said it had the earth on the cover with the man growing into the clouds and in the story he was trying to save the world from an earthquake.

Have to add if anyone else has a idea i still would like to hear just incase this isnt the book. Should be here by thursday. I will read it to see if it has the flower pot story.

i am sorry, not very knowledgeable in GA, but ima have to be eventually, going to college to get a job that pays enough to open a comic store, taking business classes too.
