Same book; Different Question (bad press job?)

So I'm really hoping this Sandman 1 gets a 9.8

 

This book actually has been pressed; although, I'm not sure how well judging by a couple of angles.

 

See pics - can I still get a 9.8 like this?

I agree also a couple of spine stresses and a fuzzy bottom corner not all books can become 9.8's spine stresses don't necessarily get removed with a press job the paper fibers have to relax in that area and spine stresses won't always disappear although they usually get minimized

can exaggerate, I see black shavings along the edge ?

no black shavings that I can see.

 

I know some spine ticks can be stubborn and might require more than 1 press job, but they weren't bad to begin with in this case.

9.4 for sure... no chance of 9.8.

That one tick in the middle of the spine on the cover is taking it down to a 9.6 for me maybe even a 9.4 with the other small ticks along the spine. Still a great looking book though
