Need help with this KISS!

I was wandering what if anyone could help me figure out what's on the right side of this mag,or on the left side of paul stanely? Is that a fold or tear or inksmudge Thanks Casey

Might be part of a black printer's ink smudge. The back cover is part of the wraparound cover predominantly red/orange in color, so I don't think the front cover smudge was caused by another KISS copy's back cover.

what i don't understand is why this book has such a high value in guide

 

when i watched one of those VH1 things on kiss i think they said over a million copies were sold

 

and that is the sort of thing people would keep

 

or is the million copies thing bogus?

A million copies sold wow!,had'nt heard that. At comicpriceguide.com it says a CGC graded 9.4 sells at an average of $700.So since Mile High has NM copies for $150 looks like someone could make some money!!, that is if MH actually sent ya a NM copy.
