Picked up a few issues of VIGILANTE at an auction a few years ago and just

ran across them in one of my boxes...very nice art and stories. This title doesn't

seem to receive very much attention.

I only have the Alan Moore issues and the ones drawn by Gil Kane.

It's a shame too. The character really did fit in with the early to mid 80s Bernhard Goetz type atmosphere (although Vigilante predated the Goetz shootings). Following his mental state was interesting too.

 

Most underrated series of the 80s IMO. A comic book meets The Star Chamber movie type effort.

Thank God! Time for those MF's to leave my house! I hated the run so much, I couldn't finish reading it. I'll never know what happens after #40... Neither the writing nor the characterization had any consistency.
