Free Toronto Comicon Fan Appreciation Event April 24!

 

Toronto – The 1st annual Toronto Comicon Fan Appreciation Event will be held April 24, 2005 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Guests include Adam Kubert, Chris Claremont, Sean Chen, Josh Middleton, Alvin Lee, Francis Manapul, Leonard Kirk, Cameron Stewart and dozens of other pros. Fans can get a free admission coupon at there local comic shop and they will be treated to a great show which includes free give-aways, free sketches from guest artists, a free limited edition print from UDON studios and also the chance to get an Exclusive Variant of Street Fighter #14 from UDON.

Warner Brothers Studios will also be on hand, giving away free promotional items and showing clips from their upcoming releases Batman Begins, House of Wax and Tim Burton’s Corpse’s Bride. Dreamworks Studio will also be handing out free items to promote their upcoming releases; Madagascar, Wes Craven’s Red Eye, and Wallace & Gromit the Movie.

The Toronto Comicon Fan Appreciation event is based on the success of the Free Comic Book day, to stimulate interest in the hobby and in this case, thank the fans in Toronto for their great support over the years with free admission. This will be one of largest shows of it’s kind in Canada sprawling over 25 000 sq. feet with over 150 comic book retailers on site and large artist alley.
