Suicide Squad Rebirth # 1 Variants

42 posts in this topic

Looks like the Aspen All-Star Batman and Suicide Squad sales are being delayed a bit from July18th and 25th to the July 30th and August 6th. Glad that they're on Saturdays now. Mondays are a bit of a pain.

I'm pretty sure this is the Joker image being used:

And here's the Batman image (from 2008 Sketchbook):

Its a really lame way to do it just to squeeze out some more cash.

The Joker image didn't post. Can you please try to re-post it? I'm curious to see it.

I don't agree about it being lame. I've been really enjoying these covers. I like the sketches myself. I wish they had allowed the Harley sketch to be the "rare" book instead of altering Turner's work to make the hatless variant. Personally I don't like the hatless variant. I'm hoping they don't do something like that with All-Star Batman or Suicide Squad. Coloring his art for a variant is one thing but I don't like them altering it.

I hope they don't go above 3000 color and 1500 sketch on these and I also hope there is no third variant like they did for Harley. I'm preparing to be disappointed though because I suspect the print runs will be larger.

It's 5k and 3k now respectively because of those whiners.

This is why we can't have nice things. Well I guess we can have them they just aren't going to be worth much.

Question as I'm new to this, what do comic collectors consider to be truly limited? 2000? 1500? 1000?
