Last one for today - Surfer #3

There is a surface crease which is visible in the scan, and goes from Mephisto's forehead to Surfer's lower back.

but I always seem to have a hard time guessing with squarebound books

I think 8.0 is fair.

 

Is the cover as dirty as it appears? The back cover worse I take it?

 

That top outer edge reading crease.. is a bummer, in fact the entire out edge looks ruff.

Is the cover as dirty as it appears?

 

There is some minor soiling(looks like ink transfer from being stacked), but my scanner is very tough on white covers/areas of books. Plus, I don't play with the lighting on my scans like a lot of people do.

The Tec is not only the nicest of the 3, but my personal fav as well.

9.0 Here's a good case of where the larger scan over-emphasizes the defects. The bias mis--cut bothers me a little personally
