Guy went to a lot of trouble to fool that couple (faking his own death, burying himself whilst somehow putting a fake tombstone on top of his grave, and then jumping out at exactly the right moment when the couple turn up, etc.).

Been a while since I have posted a story so here is the story "The Corpse That Came To Dinner" from Out of The Shadows #9. Lots of zombie goodness in this one...

Here are a few quick short stories from Adventures into Darkness #7.

 

First up "Bride of Death".

 

Followed by a short one pager. "The Origin of "He Kicked The Bucket"".

Man, I just read "Bride of Death" a few months back, and had already forgotten about it! Like many pch stories, the -script is ok, but nothing out of this world. The art I like quite a bit, though. (thumbs u

 

I remembered the origin of "Kick the Bucket" right away, though! I dunno, I think it's bs, what say you?

Heck, I liked this cover. I don't think my scanner did it justice. It has a nice Palais story too.

They were both good enough to post, IMO. I'm glad you put them up! The art on the first is very striking, & their is something about that little "origin" page that stands out. Subject matter, I suppose.

 

Yeah, I would guess the phrase came from when someone actually HUNG themselves by standing on a bucket & then kicking it out from under them.

 

I'm too lazy to Google a real origin.
