I've made my order at the local shop. While I wait ... anyone pick up this (GIGANTIC) tome?

I have no real issue with the length of the work, but the references to Joyce... yeah, that is usually a pass for me.

Has anyone else started reading this yet? I found the first 100 pages pretty rough going, and I LOVED Voice of the Fire. Should I bail or is it worth sticking with?
