I personally like it on the front cover because it helps for identification purposes. Fraud becomes easier if the code is placed on the back.

 

BTW, how many of you use a barcode scanner for scanning in the serial into your db/spreadsheet?

Lets hope they don't put barcodes on people,your pets.... ,but seriously I would prefer to have the codes on the back it takes away the art

Back offcourse. Never understood why they had to be on the cover if not for the ease of the shop-keeper that scans from the front.
