Grading of Collection BEFORE mailing to CGC

I have about 600 comics all purchased around 1972 (some from earlier years including an Amazing Fantasy 15 and Spiderman #1) What is the best way to determine grade and value estimates in order to send for grading by CGC? Thanks for anyone's help!

Scan the bigger books and post in spare a grade forum.

Yes, I remember Overstreet from back when he first started publishing. Are his grades fairly accurate for 'fair market value' or should I deduct a percentage for grading purposes at CGC? Thanks

Overstreet is ok for the non key books. For key books ebay/ heritage/ or GPA are good sources to determine value.

 

For grading I would as said, post the more valuable books in the Please Grade My thread and once you get a consensus you can use those grades to get an idea for the remainder of the collection.

Also, if you're not familiar with some of the books, or what you should scan, you can take a group picture and post it here. Some high grade bronze non-keys can go for multiples of guide. Good luck and welcome to the boards!
