Just stumbled upon this online...good lord that's one terrible looking Venom!

I didn't know Eddie Brock was a Dwarf, he's like what 5'1" lol

 

ASM 316 is one of my fav covers OAT :cloud9:

 

And I'll be the first to admit, I like a little tongue, but they just went over the top with it :tonofbricks:

It's interesting because the main reason we know it's Venom (of any design) and not Cosmic Spidey is that there are teeth. :grin:

Cosmic Spidey was Spider-Man with (partial) Captain Universe integration.

Shows what I know. I assumed the Spider-Man with the Black Suit from Outer Space was what people mean by "Cosmic Spidey", but it turns out that's a different one. lol

 

Thankfully, I read better comics than that. ;)

The ASM 316 cover is THE definitive Venom image.

 

McSpidey drew a really great character. Larsen ruined it.

Except Venom's right hand.

 

To me it looks like it was altered after the fact, it's too small and doesn't connect to his wrist at the proper angle.

McVenom looks slightly lacking without that grotesque, slobbering appendage hanging out his mouth!

 

I'm actually on the hunt for a Larsen Venom OA page with that ridiculous tongue flailing around and drool flying everywhere :insane:
