Need Help Identifying pulp fiction art by Lou Marchetti 1970's paperback novel

3 posts in this topic

If there's any experts on 1970's pulp fiction paperback novel art, or the blaxploitation genre, I'm looking for more information on this piece (link to CAF gallery with image)

It's by Lou Marchetti and is speculated to be from the 1970's and used as a paperback novel cover.

I'm looking for the publisher, book title, and publication date if possible, to then ultimately find the actual physical publication itself and acquire the book.

Thanks!

Rick,

The painting is from the "Carver" series from the early to mid 1970s.

I bought this painting from Marchetti's widow several years ago, and could never find the printed paperback.

Best,

Mitch I.

Mitch

Thanks for the details... Do you know much of the "Carver" series in terms of who the publisher is/was, or is Carver the name of the publisher.

I'll continue to use Google as my research tool, 'tho am coming up empty.

Thank you once again and Happy Holidays!
