So I am guessing their modus operandi is to buy a low grade, high value book. Clean, press, and possibly trim the book. Then submit it to PGX who has notoriously bad restoration detection.

Their trimming of classic books has lost them my business. I've heard nothing good about them.

Sad. It appears they are going to maker a good profit on this book. I should crack, press, and clean my mess copy of AF 15 (0.5 PLOD with trimming, I got it for dirt cheap do not judge me) send it to PGX and see what happens!!

So weird! They bought a 3.5 qualified DD1 with the 16th page missing off me for about $400 some time ago and sold it Raw for over $900 as a complete and unrestored book. They most likely played with the staples, slipped the page in, and Bam. I guess this one wasn't worthy of PGX.

 

It's just stunning that they do so much buying and selling almost immediately after they get the lower grade book, and their customers don't catch on. Maybe the buyers don't care and they're selling the books to their customers. I have no idea!!!!! Maybe it's s vicious cycle.

CGC CBCS PGX everyone grades diff. CGC is real tight CBCS/PGX are not as tight. I would say after press it should be 1.0

 

 

The press did approve the appearance some, but it's still a complete beater. One of those books on the PR/FR bubble due to it mostly all still being there and not completely brittle.

 

I've got no argument with pressing it and calling it a soft 1.0, but 1.5 is typical PGX overgrade on the low end , and since when is that Good- ? Considering I've seen PGX give taped up beaters missing pages as high as a 2.5, I'm not surprised though.

 

 

They gave my Hulk 1 a 1.5 grade and i bought as a 3.0 so it workd both ways. I sent you pm of the book and its way better than this 1.5 fantasy 15

I feel like i got a bad grade after seeing that book.

 

I think there a bit of "who" submits coming into play
