Is it worth it to restore this Adventure #80 from 1942?

I've never had restoration done to any comic before and I've heard it's at least a few hundred bucks. Worth it for a book that is not super valuable? (Overstreet $194 GD(2), $388 VG(4). Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Restoration isn't cheap and if your thought is to flip the book nothing says "hard to sell" like a sweet purple label-- but having said that-- if you just like the book itself and you want to do a resto for your own enjoyment go for it.

 

I think the only time restoration makes sense is on keys that are highly desirable, but it's always extremely risky if selling is your intent.

I bought the book in 1972 for maybe 10 bucks at the most and yes, I was thinking of finally selling it. But if the costs outweigh the gain.....
