What happened to Venom, Carnage, Winter Soldier? I wish it was as simple as saying there are no lasting characters from the last 20 years.

 

I'm sure people doubted HQ back in the day too. If Silk is in the Homecoming movie, does that launches her into the mainstream and change her fate drastically. Otherwise you could be right, but know knows what 5 years will do, based on the past 5 years or what??? Could go either way.

There's one in Comics General about the value of BA 12 that is much older. Looked but couldn't find it.

If Marvel doesn't start writing better comics, they may not be around in 5 years. Just their movies division.

Blank pages would be a more compelling story as opposed to the stuff they are giving us now.

 

Daredevil is the one read still resembling the Marvel I enjoy. Just a little nervous now they have his new sidekick Blindspot, losing his eyes. This just reeks of another set up to remove yet another mainstay- Matt Murdock.

 

As for Silk, anybody want to buy some Silver Sable #1's from the 1990's? It's got a foil cover.....hmmmm....hmmmm...??

sales wise at local comic shows, Silk does sell, but Spider-Gwen sells slightly better to the buyers who are age 12-30 demographic and 75% female.

 

Is it sustainable?

Yes in the long run it will improve. She was a good new character.

 

Unfortunately, the writing went south quickly on the title. You can substitute 'Spider-Gwen' or the new 'Spider-Woman' for 'Silk' and it would be the same story.

 

I never really cared for the new Ms. Marvel for story or art.

I think Silk is a great character. I really like the ASM vol 3 with her introduction. Writing did kind of go south on her solo series. Hopefully it will get better.
