[Sackolantern]

I'm wondering about the dirt/shadowing/dis-coloration along the right edge. What looks like a tear on the right near Icicle's shoulder is actually a printing defect.. so this thing is in really nice shape otherwise. Not sure if that will knock it down.. anyone hazard a guess or provide info? What options might be available to deal with this?

Nice looking book.

 

I always struggle on how much of an impact shadowing will have on the grade but based on the photos you provided I would say this books is probably a 7.5 (very fine).

I'd call it a 7.0, maybe 7.5 due to the dust shadows but CGC could well go higher. 8.0 would not surprise me. Nice copy!

are those pages slightly brittle? That corner pic seems brown - of so I would say 6.0 - if not I would say 7.5

Uggghhh. What I thought was a crease/wrinkle on the back cover is actually a 1/4" tear -  right at the top of the cowboy's hat.

What did the grader's notes have to say?  They've been hitting dust shadows/tanning pretty hard too.  Was there a spine split or torn interior pages?

Frankly, I'm not sure if the crease thing on the right front over the cover is the obvious printing/manufacturing defect.  It's a hell of a looker for 5.5 though.  :[
