Love this thread about C.C.'s.  I've come across C.C.'s as part of the Selling Superman documentary we visit the old C.C.'s location in Livonia in a search for some of the guys that used to work there...  guys that might have knowledge about where some of the secret collection was acquired from, which we feature in the documentary.  We are literally just finishing the doc (actually 4 part doc series) and am so eager to share it with the community. Stay tuned for release date. I've only heard great things so far about CC and the store. ps. We did find an old commercial for the store that we use in the series.

He mentioned to me that he had bought a large collection of 1960s and 1970s Marvels from a guy, but that he passed on the rest of the material since he couldn't move DCs (except for the Wrightson Swamp Things)....

I remember making the drive from London to Detroit circa 1985 thinking that a big city comic shop in the States must have all those Silver Age DCs that I hadn't been able to find in Canada. Well of course it did not.

Worse yet was when I was in New York to take in a Mets series against the Pirates in 1986 or so and I decided to drop into the Batcave comic shop in Manhattan thinking that with a full page ad in Overstreet it must be big time. Well it was a tiny shop with minimal selection.
