now that's a way to get buyers to pay the paypal vig w/o saying it...

"Comic Book Title #1 CGC 9.8- $88 + 4% shipped"

A dumb way, I would think. Why not just charge $91.52? Of course, I never sell anything, so what do I know? :D

Because then the seller would get charged 4% on the $91.52.

I know, I know, it's dumb... but so are a lot of people, apparently.

*sigh*

If I remember to how to sum an infinite series, they should charge $91.67 and be done with it.

Edit: Or I could just divide 88 by 0.96 doh!

He will anyway, won't he? (shrug) (Plus, I thought the PP fee was 3%.)

Tis less it is international...really doesn't want to lose that 1% if a international buys it... (shrug)

I took it to mean that he had already factored in his PayPal fees on the comic, but wanted to cover them on the shipping since it was a variable.

f(x) = comic book price + shipping cost + 4% (shipping cost)

or

f(x) = comic book price + 1.04(shipping cost)

or

f(x) = 1.04y + 88

Except he already stated that it meant book price + 4%

What does $63 + 4% shipped mean?

I've had a few people paying me by money order and personal check recently. So $63 for those kind of purchases. 4% is for the Paypal fee. I can't post asking for Paypal personal payments on the forum.

Oh. I didn't know who the seller was, and I was too lazy to go find out. :D

So if after buying the book, someone says he wants to pay with check or mo, he gets the book for $88, while a PP payer gets if for $88 + 4%?

Still seems odd because a check or mo buyer won't understand he's getting a discount from reading the TOS. They usual way is just to state PP + 3%.
