Comic Link's shipping fee to Canada?

Any fellow Canadians have an idea of what they charge?

ComicLink shipping:

1-3 $70
4-6 $75
7-12 $90

I was quoted that about 1y ago. They use FedEx default, but they may use USPS at your request but at same cost.  I would recommend USPS.

It is absurd.  I don't even look at their auctions anymore.  And they don't accept PayPal.  But you get a nice sticker on your slab if they are still doing that.

Do you know if the shipping is the same on the exchange books? For me it is the only auction site that is navigable, I don't understand how the others work.

I remember it being around $35, but the last time I bought something I was quite shocked. $70 wouldn't surprise me.

In general, the shipping and exchange rate prices have climbed so high that I am extremely choosy before buying something. On the bright side, I seem to have a lot more money pooling my purchases in one big order. I hope to buy one or two keys buy the end of the year.

$70 regardless of whether the book is an auction or an exchange buy. They used to have a slower $35 option to Canada but they scrapped it and now it's $70. In Canadian pesos it's like $300 flapjacks and your first born.

lol

Self-deprecating humour is the type of humour I like best. As far as shipping costs, I suggested in another thread that for those of us Canucks who aren't close to the border we should find an American boardie who we can send our books to from comiclink. The cost to ship from comiclink to an American address is dirt cheap. Then the American boardie sends the books to us in Canada. I've had slabbed books sent from folks in the states for a fraction of the price that clink charges. The American boardie gets a percentage of the shipping cost and it would still be cheaper than what clink charges.

I'm currently receiving books for an unnamed frostback....., :shy:

What are the details?

No details.  He just has a bunch of carp shipped to me, and I box it up together and ship it to him.  I also buy books from him and he buys books from me, and sometimes we pool orders.  We are of a like-mind grading-wise.   All I ask out of the deal is Mackintosh's Carmel and undisclosed sexual favors.

So instead of carmels and sexual favours...how much maple syrup or dog sled components would I have to send your way for you to receive my order from clink and then have you send it my way?

I've got a life time supply of maple syrup from a Maine-lander in exchange for venison jerky.

Maybe a couple husky hindquarters.
