It's funny, I have gotten a lot of sweet deals at auctions over the years, but I have also seen lots of junk sell for crazy money as well. I'm thinking in these instances it's mostly a matter of the bidders not knowing much about comics, but having the general idea that "comics are worth $$$", and not wanting to walk away empty handed. It's odd.

My local shop puts them out at $3-$4 each and they sell, like X-Force 1s (with the cable card) and a few other big printed books of the era.
