Hulk 1 to 6 Pawn stars

Last night pawn stars Hulk 1 thru 6 40k anyone see.

I saw it.  They didn't show 2-6 well enough, but they showed Paul giving his assessment (6.0) on the Hulk 1...the owner said he found them in a garbage can in the back of a restaurant...?

That's weird.  It doesn't pass the sniff test, does it?

Sounds fishy. Likely stolen.

Found in the basement of a restaurant he was building behind a pile of trash.

That's a little better, but still, finding Hulk 1-6 in the trash in 2003?  They were worth quite a bit back then.

they weren't in the garbage or a garbage can -- just somewhere among other junk in a building he was supposedly renovating according to what the guy with the books said.

Regardless-- that show is totally staged and poorly at that. Not a fan of any of the people on that show, especially "Big Hoss" who is a ridiculous, obnoxiously arrogant clown. Like he doesn't understand comic books can be worth a lot of money when in previous episodes, he read off his cue cards about how valuable some comics can be.

Also, that so-called expert they brought in had less knowledge than most people on this board. His analysis regarding the signatures was really off. Not sure about his valuation if that #1 book was a 6.0. Could be the expert was just edited poorly too.

Those signatures occurred AFTER 2003 (the supposed "find" date). So my guess is these were SS CGC books that were stolen, cracked out, and now he is trying to pawn them off (possibly the worst way to sell a comic book of any value). If not-- this guy had Stan sign them but didn't get them CGC'd? why? Very fishy indeed.

But thanks to the OP for pointing this episode out as I found it worth seeing just to shake my head in disgust at that show. For those looking for it-- it is season 14, episode 12 "The Pawnshine State"

There really is 14 seasons of Pawnstars. That is kinda crazy.
