Not sure how to grade that but it does look a little off. Frankly, I'm just super worried for the cavemen who have to deal with dinosaurs AND spaceships. That's a lot. $125 $90 Now $90. dannyboy
Ok, taking the kids to see Spider-Man and I'll send out invoices when I get home. I've also got a few more odds and ends of books of my dads that I'll post. Some Black Magics and other randoms.
JollyComics
Amazingly, nearly all books were taken quickly without a single hesitation with your asked prices, however your old man's stories are priceless.
Robot Man
Very cool that your dad is still around to see what his funny books went for. I'm sure he was very happy. He must think we are all crazy...
Popular Post dannyboy
I have sent out all invoices. Let me know if I missed anyone. So another story or two from my dad. First of all, he also had a pretty decent sized coin collection that he gave to me as well. The coins were cool but I really had a such a hard time knowing that he saved a 1922 Peace Dollar when he could have bought 10 comics for that money. So his books were basically in 2 groups. The books he picked up when he was little, didn't have much money, and handled them a bit more roughly (basically until the end of the war), and the books he bought when he was older and took better care of (until about 1954 when he joined the army out of college). This is why any war years books were/are coverless and beaten and the PCH stuff is in much better shape. He was definitely a DC guy over Timely. Basically no Timely war books - except for a pretty cool USA Comics 5. For the record, and he'll tell anyone this, there was no one he liked better than Capt. Marvel. And it wasn't even close. atomised, bounty_coder, Jayman and 3 others
SOLAR BOY
So when are you posting more book?
dannyboy
I'm going to get all of the books from this thread shipped out today and get that off my list. Then I'll see what remains but I don't think it's a ton of stuff and nothing really sought after. Pretty random. Although some higher grade randomness. dannyboy
Ok. This thread is closed. Will start another one with other books when I get them all scanned/graded. Here is a quick group shot just to give people an idea. Like I said, it's a lot of randomness. TheFifthHorseman
