I had the privilege of meeting this great man in person last year at the Phoenix CC. I had been wanting for years to meet him, legend, icon one of the greats. Was able to get a nice litho from him, my favorite of all his great works, wow stunned.

Rest in Peace.  I had seen his work in the past but never knew who the artist was...very talented it appears.

Basil Gogos was the main artist for Famous Monsters of Filmland. Like you say very talented. R.I.P.

Sad news. My daughter and I met him at Planet Comicon earlier this year and had a chance to talk with him. We looked through his portfolio while he commented on some of the pieces. One of the highlights of the con.
