100 HG SA DC's from the Sid's Luncheonette Collection

good idea! A cute lil Sid Lunceheonette cert would be great! Maybe like a diner menu, or a pic of the outside of the store... or a small town Main St scene.... Red Hook - - - paging mr Red Hook!

an interesting idea, but Sid's is long gone, although the building remains. i think any buyers of these books will know the full story through Pedigrees site............

Hell Harry, it doesn't have to be anything fancy. I wouldn't mind just having a plain text COA signed by you. If it had a little Red Hook artwork on it, all the better. It would just be cool to have a little bit of history, because you're the only OO of a serious collection that seems to be in position to directly certify the provenance of his collection. If you think about it, most, if not all, COAs are signed by a dealer or discoverer of the collection, rather than the OO.

i'm gonna stop by Sid's and take a picture of the Building and then enlist the aid of our own Redhook to see if he can come up with something creative (is there any doubt??!?!?!?).

spoke to Doug tonight and he's his usual exuberant self - ready to get this ball rolling...........gonna pick up the last 30 books at CGC tomorrow/wednesday.

A certificate signed by you is a great idea for perpetuating the story behind your collection, Harry. thumbsup2.gif Please be sure to make certificates for those of us who've already purchased some of your cool books.
