Why did you dislike Miller's run on Daredevil?

I didn't discover Miller's DD run until the early 80s, when a friend shared them with me. It actually rekindled my interest in mainstream comics, and I sought out the back issues. I think I paid around $8 for a FN or so #158, but actually found it disappointing, as it was the 2nd part of a typical boring BA superhero story, and Miller's hadn't fully embraced his visual style. I reread the run about 10 years ago, and still found it entertaining, though probably overrated in both art and storytelling. It was a fresh take in the late 70s, and the foundation for the next 40 years of Daredevil stories, but has been eclipsed in subsequent decades by both artists and storytellers, who even if they owe a debt to Miller,  have created superior work.

181 is my favorite book of the run.  Really violent for the times and pushed the code restrictions to it's limits.  Then again, the whole series was like that.

I loved Daredevil 181 so much, I got a page of original art from that issue. :)
