Thanks to all who stopped by my last auctions. Let's do it again! Starting bid $1 each, ending tonight 11 pm EST.

The rules (PLEASE READ!) :

-- Auctions END tonight at 11 PM EST -- only bids timestamped up to and including 11 PM EST will be accepted. Bids stamped at 11:01 or later will not be counted. In the case of ties, the earlier bid wins.

-- BINs are posted in parentheses with each book or lot.

-- If a bid goes higher than the BIN price, that auction is automatically ended and the bidder has won the item at the BIN price. (Hey, it's happened before!)

-- Each book or lot should be bid on individually... please specify which one(s) you are bidding on. Please bid in dollar increments only; any cents bids placed will be rounded down to the nearest dollar.

-- Bids via PM are fine; from now up until the final ten minutes of the auction, I will accept bids via PM and will provide updates in the thread, omitting the bidder's name. (No HOSers, probies, etc.)

-- Shipping: please add $6/US for one or more items. International shipping available at cost. Will need a few days at least to ship.

Thanks for playing. Good luck!

NELLIE THE NURSE #29 in 1.5. Low-grade copy of an uncommon Nellie issue. Clear tape on entire spine, heavy general wear but bright cover colors. Cream/offwhite pages. Not easy to find in any grade.

(BIN: $80)

NELLIE THE NURSE #33 in 3.0 apparent. Nicer than the #29; bright, flat book with strong gloss and eye appeal. Looks high VGish overall, but spine has some spotting/staining and what looks like a glue repair on a top corner split. Strangely, the thin black lines in the Nellie logo have some hits of discreet black pen touchup... no sign of any color loss there and even the gloss is unmarred in those areas, so I honestly don't know what the thinking was. Nice bright offwhite pages. Again, tough GGA book.

(BIN: $110)

1950s UK CRIME LOT OF 4. Here's a unique batch -- UK versions of Crime Does Not Pay and Wanted, plus two issues of 'Reward Comics' for which there is no US equivalent. These are thin 2-color and 3-color books kind of akin to the Spirit inserts of the 40s and 50s; I'm guessing these too were inserts in newspapers. 12 pages each. I don't know the UK market well but can't imagine too many of these survived.

(BIN: $100)  SOLD

EAGLE COMICS #4 (FOX, 1942). A coverless, incomplete copy of Eagle #4 from January 1942, aka the very end of the initial Fox run which were the scarcest books of all (think Weird Comics #20, Fantastic #22). This copy is severely incomplete, missing the first three wraps and the centerfold. What's here are pages 15-30, encompassing a complete wartime Eagle and Buddy story, and pages 35-52, with a neat Spider Queen story (believe it or not, she was arguably kind of a 1940s Spidey prototype... a young woman with spider powers). Last two pages have a 2" tear; otherwise pretty solid. Fun Fox reading on the cheap.

(BIN: $25)

In response to a query, unfortunately the board does not have timestamps any longer. Final bids are accepted up to and including 11 pm. At 11:01 on the dot (my clock, my discretion!) I'll post an 'auction has ended' message.
