The Dick Tracy Monthly Thread (Scans Please)

Hello Everyone.

 

I have been impressed with seeing some of "Harvey Dude's" tracy Monthly cover scans on other threads.

 

I thought that it was time to dedicate a thread to the Tracy Monthlys.

 

Here's my one and only copy which is a great one to begin with. #1

I would love to own that copy. With recent talk that Warren Beatty may produce another Tracy film, your thread is timely.

Most of my Tracy slabbed books were purchased from Heritage over the last year. To think, I never received their last catalog after all these purchases

I believe there were ten or so painted covers for the series. I was fortunate to purchase two of the aforementined cover paintings back in the eighties.

It does not speak to highly of the artwork, when word devices are needed to explain the action.

Great books HD - I especially like the painted covers ( which is unusual for me). Here is my sole contribution - which I bought due to the graphic violence on the cover - I have no doubt if this same action were illustrated with as much blood on a regular pre-code crime book - it would be on want lists eveywhere.

That certainly is a violent cover. I believe I only have a few more of the Dell series.
