I remember talking to the guy who found the collection many years ago. It was at an Ithaca NY comic show. I didn't buy any of them

what a great story!

I once found a Batman 2 that was inside a wall. My Dad was renovating the house we lived in and he was tearing down the old walls and inside one of the walls was old papers, old magazines and of course old comics. One of which was a Batman 2!

Wonderful collection.  I was able to purchase a few books from Carl some time ago at a local Rochester NY VFW show.  2 Crime does not pay, and some early Kirby / Simon Romance.  The books I found were is really nice shape - they are treasured for sure.

I remember the story.  I bought a handful of them in his eBay sales.  As I recall I won several in some early groupings for very reasonable prices.  By the time some later auctions were listed the prices became much stronger
