Cydwarren
What do you think considering that back cover. The spine is splitting but is still attached at top staple. Would this be worth sending to cgc? Thanks in advance for your input!

AJD
0.5 for me with that much of the back cover missing. I'd keep it raw if I was keeping the book. If you're going to sell it, slabbing it might still be worth it if you are sure it will be a 0.5 blue. The front presents well considering. badback83
I agree with @AJD. If selling, I'd probably slab it. If not, pop it in a Mylar and enjoy it. .5 is probably what it would be though.

1950's war comics
after thinking about it i believe it is at least a CGC 1.0 (not 0.5) because the front cover looks ok... FoggyNelson

James J Johnson
Front cover is all there and clean, over the majority of it. Too much so to call it 0.5 despite the rough back cover. Grading is not supposed to be front or back cover biased, a book should be graded on its whole. But books with a demolished back cover and relatively sound front cover tend to grade higher than the inverse, so that in mind, based on the presentation of the front cover, IMO, it's at least a CGC 1.0, which would warrant slabbing if resale was in mind. Were the front cover like the back and the back like the front, it's a CGC 0.5. Edited January 18, 2018 by James J Johnson
