Effect of staple recess/tear/pull

Hey everyone. Just got a book from eBay with the depicted staple error. I was wondering how cgc deals with this type of issue. The seller listed it as "no returns accepted" but this wasn't disclosed in any pictures or description so maybe I'll try and message him depending on what you guys say. It seems like the cover is still attached.

Well, I think I see some rust on that staple. To me, that is worse than the recess. The biggest problem with the recess is the fact that the paper is starting to tear. To be honest, CGC seems lenient on staple tears. I'm sure it will affect the grade but how much is hard to say. Hope you didn't get the comic wet by placing it on the counter by the sink !  :baiting:
