Just got my TEC 33 back from CGC, it scored a 1.0 and I couldn’t be any more happier! Love any low graded key GA. My dream is a 0.5 TEC 27 or 0.5 Action 1...those are definitely in my price range. Lmk of any leads. Have a great Sunday all!

Well a coverless goes for about $75K-$85K. I think it would depend on how the Action 1 is a .5, or presentation. Is it missing the back cover only, the front cover or have both covers but they are sooo trashed that it’s a .5 even though that would normally be a 1.0. Anyway, I’d imagine a .5 would average in the $150K range, give or take $20K.

IMO complete coverless Action 1  up to 125k.. Coverless complete Ten 27 's are up to 115k IMO.  I don't think you get a 0.5 with the hero stories for under 200k.  150k isn t off base but that's the LOW end Obviously we are talking NO FRONT COVER

Good point, Chillman! And if you can't acquire Detective #27 first story-appearance of Batman, be on the lookout for the next best thing: Detective 33, the origin of Batman! Arguably the second most famous story in the history of comics! Congratulations, pkchu! That is a nice copy you have there!

Wait.  I'm totally confused. Isn't the picture the OP posted the same book that's up on Ebay ?  The OP and the Ebay seller are not the same person so what am I missing ?

The three years that has passed since the first post.

More Fun 31 has the earliest copyright date of these 3.  May 5, 1938.  Detective 15 is May 10.  Adventure 26 is later in May, I forgot the day.

DC used MF 31 in their court case vs Siegel to establish the earliest appearance of Superman.

MF 31 Church has 4-1 on the cover as the newsstand arrival date.
