He flies in from Florida when they call their "buddy".  Frankly in that episode it looked like they treated Paul like dirt - had him pore over seven long boxes of junk like he was there paying off a debt or something.  Chumley's so irritating.

Totally staged. He just happened to have a few "good ones" handy right in the front of the box. It wouldn't have taken any of us much to go through those quickly.
