Here's the short list of other production proofs I've got:

Some are accetate "cells" or 3M proofs, others are matchprint proofs

taken direct from the negs. They are on sort of card stock with glossy

finish.

For those of you who aren't certain what some of this is, these are true one of a kind items.

They are the orig. proofs for the artist/editors and printer for the various comics that go to press. Upon printing, typically, these proofs are destroyed by the printer. VERY hard to come by.

 

Some are acetate cells, in layers of 4, each of them representing one color (red, yellow, blue and black) from the 4-colors of printing. When laid down upon each other, the full image is revealed. They are similar in appearance to animation cells. A type of proofing that no longer exists.

 

Then you have matchprint proofs, which is 3M card stock with glossy coated finish. These were typically used to show proofs for painted comics, things like Alex Ross books, for example.

 

The black and white proofs and contact camera prints pulled from negs to scale of the orig. art for either covers or interiors. All are taken direct from the negs themselves.

 

Others are lasers.
