In theory, couldn't one win this contest with an undefeated record without ever accurately guessing the grade of the book if you were always paired up against an even more pathetic grader?

BellaDonna puts all the names of people in each bracket in a hat and pulls them out each round when there is an uneven number of competitors in that bracket. A person only gets a bye once so there is no advantage and if everyone has had a bye the process starts all over again. Luck of the draw.

 

Hopefully thats that cleared up so BellaDonna can focus on the contest instead of having to answer questions already answered in previous threads

Yes, I posted in the question in the rules thread didn't I? Unfortunately, there's no explanation of how the byes work in the rules thread...
