Should restoration be disclosed in an auction title? 0

Or is it fine to just list it in the comments like it’s no big deal? I could tell this was trimmed from the thumbnail on my phone, and I didn’t even notice it was marked as trimmed when I first skimmed the description (since I had to scroll three screens over to see it), before I was going to ask in a pm. 

Seems pretty shady to me, but is this something I should be watching for in every raw book? If there weren’t such huge pieces removed from the book I may have missed it from the scan. 

Apologies if this isn’t the place to ask, and please let me know if I should delete the thread.

I agree, it is shady. However, not much you can do about it.

No. If it is disclosed, it need not be disclosed in the title. It's not hidden, nor is there an attempt to minimize it. It is plainly stated. Disclosure is the key, not where and how it is disclosed.

This particular seller always discloses if it's "restored" in their notes. I've been sucked into looking at a few of their "very high grade books" only to see in the notes that it has "slight color touch", etc etc etc. They do this a lot. I've msg'd them about books that haven't said anything about resto (since so many of their books are resto) and they have said "this one isn't". They couldn't possibly use the "I'm not a resto expert" excuse if a book was restored, because they notate that on every book it seems. Still, haven't bought from them. They love their resto.

As long as it's disclosed somewhere, and not intentionally hidden, I wouldn't mind. I don't collect restored books, though, so my opinion may not matter much.

Edit: After looking through the OP images, it's very clearly stated that the book has been restored. This listing is good to me.
