LTMM 5 -- a very early version, before Mary Jane took top billing.

(Maybe this is the only Armstrong page?)

Sorry to take so long to get back to you Jack. That Looney #5 is really nice. The artwork is very VERY COOL !!! I am hoping that artist did alot of the issues....cuz his work looks really good. Here is MJ and S from #85 (1948) and its easy to tell its not the same artist.

Maybe #5 is Chase Craig, who drew the earliest stories including LTMM #1.

If not, it's Armstrong.

Many people would say that's all I own :insane: :insane:

.

Not a lot -- about 30-35 between 5 (the crown jewel) and 239, plus one modern one that I got for free somewhere.

I like 'em though and will end up with more. Great stuff for small money, as long as you're not looking for high grade. Definitely the earlier the better (for content).

What DC checkered comics do you guys recommend?

I haven't posted a book in here in a long while, but I'm really psyched about having this book back in my possession after sending it away:

I'm not 100 % sure, but I think the checker tops only came out in one year...1966, and it was on ALL the DC titles......so take your pick. May as well stick with the books you like to read most, although, I suppose you could have a "checker top" collection hm

Don't listen to 'im, Greggy - those are beeyootiful Barks oils! Are those from the old Russ Cochran original art catalogs? I still have several of those, they're great.

Here are a few for the Marvel zombies like Aggiez...
