For as many as these there are, you don't find 9.8's that often. I was glad to find one! Side note, does anyone use anything to polish the cases? The scuff marks show up on this with the scanner much more than it appears-- of course the all black cover does not help.

I am envious. I have a 9.6 and one day plan on upgrading. I would even consider a 9.9 if such a thing is possible as CGC has yet to grade one out at that level.

Superman #178 in original mailer...

get-attachment-2aspx.jpeg

Ahh, nostalgia. I knew I had one of these left, as well. From 1988. Anyone know what it is? (I covered the address because my parents still live there.) 375BC394-7CFF-4C83-BF7A-FEFC4A36E795-11170-0000084D8E38DCAA.jpg

Any hints?

It does not appear to be the cover for any 1988 Marvel book I can find.

Are you sure it was published in 1988?

Is it a "Marvel" title, or maybe "Epic", or "Star" etc?

Thanks.

I should still have my xmen game going to look in my old game boxes tonight :wishluck:

Both those games are great, though both are quite difficult if I remember correctly hm

So I went to a toy/comic show and a dealer was selling inventory -50 comics for $20.

All were bagged and boarded and looked pretty prestine to me.

I decided to get some raw ASM from the mid-300s and Uncanny X-men from the high 200s to low 300s. At .40 per book I guess I should be glad I wasn't buying them when they first came out since they are all over $1 cover price.

This got me wondering, what would it cost to put together long runs of ASM and Uncanny X-men - maybe ASM 350-700 and X-Men 300-544.

Anyone put together a long run recently? Is it even worth the cost other than the love of collecting?
