It was an Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman Swamp Thing party today.

Those are comics you can take your time reading and savoring. I've found myself slowly and un-methodically putting together a collection of Moore's run on the title. Even years later, the stories, writing and art amaze.

That's awesome!

Is a 9.8 absolutely necessary in a sketch cover?

It seems like grading one is more for the authentication of who drew it and when, but hey, that's just me. :foryou:

Totally agree!

I've been slowly going back through these books, and enjoying every moment. The depth, darkness and excitement is there in every page.

Gotta agree that it's a great sketch. IMO when it comes to sketches, CGC is ONLY for authentication. Who really gives a stuff about the grade when you have a one-of-a-kind that looks that good?

However, if you don't like the sketch itself all that much...

I'm really unhappy with the grade so I'm kind of on the fence with keeping it or selling it - but I got this today

I just realized why it didn't come back 9.8

upon further examination and remembering FCBD - I was high and was eating chocolate all day.

Note brown finger print around Wolverine face in chocolate, well it was more icecream covered in chocolate. I'm leaning towards keeping it. :)

Already had another copy in 3.0 but this one was a good price for an undervalued book...

May have to resub this one. Looks like a 9.6 to me...

Nothing new really, but a few weeks ago, I dug out books from my collection as a teenager. . . some Claremont/Byrne X-Men (#129, 134-137) and all the Death of Superman issues.

Bought these gap fillers and upgrades from one of our Canadian Brethren at an unbelievably AWESOME price. Easily the best deal I've ever made. I've been concentrating on my ASM 1-100 lately, but now my 201-328 run is WAY closer to completion. I am STOKED!!

Thanks, Jason!!

Books from #220 on look 9.4 easy!!
