Just purchased in issue 4 for my collection. Missing the cover and page 12, but it's an affordable copy. I got lucky with number 5. 2 down, 4 to go.

Lol not to get sidetracked as they're awesome books! But wanted to say I've never read or seen the inside of early hulks, so thanks! Is it safe to say that the cover of #5 reflects the hulk in the machine of #4?

The cover of issue 5 is Hulk breaking out of Tyrannus' prison. Its been a while since I've read issue 4, but I believe the machine was used to control the transformation between Hulk and Bruce Banner.

I had the trade as a kid for the first 6 issues and read it to death. Every issue they played around with a new idea that always kept it fresh.

Awesome! Thanks for that. Because even today with a hulk #102 (real low grade. :() that might arrive for me soon. I was wondering if they had played with the origin of the Hulk at all, early on, as that issue has notation origin retold. I guess with the angiomous Hulk, the logical toy is the transformation, so thanks for clarifying. I was thinking there was at least a to be continued from issue #4 to issue #5, or a following story to elaborate, it looked that way from the 1st page and cover. Congrats again. :)

I’ve got my pocket book in front of me

What you need to know? @ADAMANTIUM

It's appreciated, it was covered well. I wanted to know if the first several issues were to be continued, or if they were whole stories picking up where with they left off previously

That said.

It all stemmed from the hulk #102 I bought that notes origin retold, and that is what made me ask. :shy:

Subsequent ongoing issues would imply it's all the same origin to me, while to be continued means they were mucking about with the story line haha. It's so much simpler than all that, just phrasing haha 😂 and I don't want to monkey with the thread. I think I have my answer, that a notation of origin retold is still the same old origin but retold in issue #102. :sorry:

But was generally curious so I asked an elaborate question hm

Bit of edit for clarity

oh definitely! :x My pics have too much light still, some of the notes are unreadable, but I did notice with your better pics this time that the Crow #3 is 2nd print (thumbsu

I like the shazam too! :headbang: but to get somewhat that full crow run is fun! I too need to send some in to CGC, but my McFarlane being the last to check in and still having more economy slow twisted in the wind? is just soul sucking :sorry: forgive my Debbie Downer lol

One of the few runs, well it and maybe Joe and transformers, that I've never learned to tell the difference. I "trust" cgc slabs lol😂:wishluck:

Yeah, tougher with the indies but I’m not gonna crack it out to check.Happened with a GSX1 I sold slabbed purple label “trimmed” and the buyer resubbed and got a universal label.

Marvel books are a little easier with the back cover variants but even that’s not always 100%. (shrug)
