Thanks for the grading help on my prior books. Here is an Atomic Comics 1, no spine issues and staples are firmly attached but you can see the discoloration around the staples, especially the top one. It is an old book and looks like that has not and will not spread further.

 

 

Here is the centerfold, as you can see the blackness has not migrated to the interior (thankfully). Well, maybe a tiny bit on the lower staple.

 

Thanks for the help/advice that anyone can provide on this book.

Nice copy you have here.

I suspected this copy has some foxing/oxidation on the back cover especially the staples that affected the grade.

I will call it strong VG+ 4.5 - maybe VG/FN 5.0.  Nice book for the age!

awesome book!  structurally this book is in great shape and the colors are amazing.  the staining and staples are the major defect here.   Interestingly, rusty/discolored staples are not considered a big defect by CGC while stains and soiling get hammered

CGC 4.5 with a decent shot at 5.0
