That's awesome and really reminds me of the stories Billy tells about his Spidey annual #1 and some of his other earliest books (Strange Tales annual #2 was another I believe).  (thumbsu

That's so cool that you remember the first book you ever bought at a con!!! I wish I could remember mine. :(  Do you still have it? It's a great book! I couldn't resist buying that copy a month or so ago, but I already had a raw copy to read. They look great in these newest CGC holders!

My original copy is long gone.  It was purchased in 1974.

I had $20 to buy books.  Three I remember were Marvel Tales 2, Captain America 100, and Star Reach 1.  I almost bought an Avengers 4 but it was almost my whole bankroll so I went in a different direction.  Another book I remember buying that day was BB30, but it was coverless.
