John Hingston
Hey all, I am thinking of sending in a few comics to grade but I would like to get a sense of what this particular comic may be graded at. I took it out of it's packaging so that freaks me out but could anyone give me a general idea where this may fall on the scale? I have others I will be sending in that I know for sure will be in the very high 9s but i was wondering where this may fall. I have taken pics of all the corners and the comic front and back. Thanks! The Lions Den
Newer books usually fall in the 9.6 range if they only have tiny flaws (such as a slightly chipped or rounded corner) or very light handling wear. Keep in mind that one flaw can affect the grade of any book dramatically...
John Hingston
Hey thanks I appreciate it! I've been thinking 9.4-9.6 but would think it may benefit from a press as there is one pressure spot on the cover. Not sure that "pressure spot" is the right word though. Thanks again greatly! John Hingston
Oh I apologize... Do what are your thoughts on the spine? If I blow it way up it bothers me but I can hardly see it on the book itself and I have 20/10 vision. I'm colorblind but my actual vision is quite good. PunisherPunisherPunisher
Spine stress will take the grade down

The Lions Den
Many times, newer books will have the same manufacturing flaws. If your copy has the same flaws as nearly every other copy, it won't be downgraded as severely. This copy does look like there's some wear on the edge of the spine. The question would be whether this is a common defect on this book or not... James J Johnson and John Hingston
John Hingston
I will have to bring out my White Claw version and compare. I don't believe it has the same problem though... How much would something like this affect my grading? Is this a one point deduction or ten if it is from use? I bought it when I could not find my White claw variation. If this totally messes up grading at least I have a reader so that's good. Thanks again!

John Hingston
Thanks to everyone!!!! I appreciate it greatly!!! Oh!!!! Off topic but a well known comic/artist (does ALL of Stephen King's work and has many comic lines) created a perfect feral/evil etc... wolverine decapitating Pennywise on a blank cover (pic attached). How does he contact CGC so he may have his own set of COAs to give out because he doesn't go to many conventions. Thanks!!!! KobaltDog
Bird
I’m pretty sure CGC does not do COAs John Hingston

Supa-Bad-Mofo
Looks like some creasing on the back near the spine. After a press, I'm thinking 9.6. John Hingston
