I don't remember where I even got this comic anymore but I found it in my collection a number of years ago and have tried to keep it as safe as possible ever since. It seems to be signed by the artist, Dave Manak, but I have no idea how I would verify that. It's only got a few creases and the pages are pretty white still. I'm wondering how high a grade I could get if I submitted it. I took a number of pictures but the upload limit is preventing me from showing them all in this post. The double crease in the top right corner is visible on a number of pages inside. I apologize for the picture quality, my phone camera is bad.

EDIT: here are the scan links (be sure to hit Load full resolution):

Here's the back of it. I can see some creases along the spine. Never pressed a comic before but it looks like that's all the back needs. I'll try and take some edge shots later today if anyone whats to see those.

Edit: added some corners. Again, can take some more edges later.

Hard to tell from those pics, but seems like maybe a half-dozen tics on the spine.

That URC seems more like someone wrote something on a piece of paper which was on top of the book rather than the creases I am used to seeing.

I wonder if that type of mark can be pressed out?

Good quality scans would be better for evaluating it

I'll get it scanned and update the first post. If it's going in a slab does the inside quality matter all that much? Asking because it seems like the only important things to scan would be the front and back.

Don't scan the inside, you can end up tearing something .  Inside can just be a pic.

I updated the first post with links to scans. Used my home printer and didn't have a colored paper to put behind it at the moment.

Looks like several tics on the spine, those 2 arced grooves by the URC, and the back also has creases as does the LRC.  Several lol like non color breaking. So after a good press and clean I'd guess 8.0-8.5

I've got a press and cleaner down the street. Should I scan it after the press and clean or would you recommend just sending it into CGC right away to avoid making any mistakes with it?

If you send it to cgc the signature will not be verified, you may get a green label

had some typo in my last response.  You could try asking CGC if that sig would get you a diff label. I have no idea if it would. You could try that 'other company' who does sig verification services if ur willing to use them (I am not giving a rec one way or the other - it's just an option for u to consider.  Do ur due diligence 1st)

if you do get it graded and ur still hanging around in the forums, please update the thread when it comes back.

good luck.

I asked the CGC booth at Wondercon if they could verify a signature on a comic (didn't have the comic with me) and they said they do not. Didn't ask about different labels unfortunately. I don't know who the "other company" is, I'll look around for them.
