Hard to put firm prices on books at the low end of the scale unless both buyer and seller are willing to go purely by the numbers and disregard the vast difference between the most appealing .5 and the worst.   

The difference between a couple of 9.8s may not be discernible without an electron microscope (or even then), but a .5 could be...

a) a book that's beautiful and solid with the main character material intact -- but technically incomplete because it's missing half a panel from a backup filler story.   Or...

b) it could be a book that's nearly missing every single word or image from the main character story and the rest of it is soiled, brittle and crumbling in the slab.

Either way, the number will be the same.
