CGC Modern Grade?

In what way's do the "Modern" Grade Lable differ from the universal blue lable?

 

Does the Modern lable effect the resale value??

 

If so by how much as a rule?

The red labels are rumored to be more harshly graded than the universal labels; as some may attest they received higher grades on resubmissions. No hard data on value...depends on the book and of course supply and demand. Some collectors covet these books; perhaps of the crack and resub factor in addition to a tighter graded comic.

 

Of course today CGC labels Modern and pre-Modern books under the Universal label.
