Would slight interior edge tanning affect the grade?

5 posts in this topic

I just bought a nice copy of Marvel Team-up #1...it looks to be around an 8.5, but it does have some slight interior tanning at the very top and very bottom of the inside covers, and to a lesser degree on the pages. I'd like everyone's thoughts/opinions on whether this would deduct anything from the overall grade? Thanks!

Tanning will be taken into consideration, and will affect both the grade and the page color. It's almost impossible to ascertain the degree of impact without the book in hand.

I concur!!!

If the tanning is in the interior (i.e. not just a dust shadow), it will effect the grade.

There is a Spidey #50 I am going after thats a 9.2 with CGC notes of interior tanning, covers look real nice so I would imagine the interior did affect the final grade.
