If a comic (my ASM 300) has a 9.8 front and about a 9.4 back...

I don't think it's easy to answer your question. Grading is not a pure mathematical formula. Depending on the back cover problem, you may get a 9.4 or 9.6 . It's even possible to maintain a 9.8. If you show us a pick of the Back Cover it would help.

all that said i'd say 9.2

If the back’s around 9.4, then another flaw on the front could drop it down to an overall 9.2 at best.

The fingerprints might be a problem.

Better to be cautious, then have a nice surprise if the slab returns higher.

The fingerprints will bring that book in the 7.5/8.0 area. The spine ticks are quite a few, so 9.4 back is not what you have.
