Vampirella 95 Copy A Q9.0 $30 So I didn't really foresee myself giving a mag a qualified grade, but not sure I have any other option here.  It's a 9.0 grade other than the sticker that a distributor decided they need to put in the barcode box.  At least they didn't put it over our gal.  Mag goes back to standard binding this issue.

And now a public service announcement about "Stiffies".  If you've joined me for the first two of these threads, you already know what I'm talking about.  A large middle chunk of the Warren magazine runs had the interiors stapled, and then glued to the covers, which was great for the stability of the book holding together, but did have another consequence.  As the glue dried on the spine, it tended to shrink, pulling the cover tighter which resulted in a stiffness to the cover, and often <<<< striation at the spine in a v shape.  I call these "Stiffies".  If you're not a normal collector of these mags, it might initially appear to you that these mags are moisture damaged.  They're not.  You will see 9.6-9.8 CGC copies of some of these that clearly show the <<< striations.  That's what I have to say about "Stiffies" and now, back to your regularly scheduled Vampi's.
